Freeze earth down spade's depth sky glare stars grind teeth raw breath rasp the throat skin stick to iron and sear bird cringe, rain drench, wind ravage tree but here a million years lie hissing in my heart. Dull desperate coals flare when shock wind shakes tin roof, weak latch at my own door he knocks that old mad King wants to derange my peace with "Come feel snow, my heart achoke with ice!" We travel my human heart's midwinter track hoar crackles under branches, over stars out through the frost we go the eyeless Duke, the Daughter hanged, this old man wide awake mocked by his Fool tears at his frozen hairs "I fear I am not in my perfect mind" he says
